Wrongkong scores!

Look at all the smiley faces! Wrongkong have been awarded this year’s Kulturförderpreis (culture sponsorship award) by the City of Nürnberg, endowed with a prize money of 5.000 Euros.

The year 2012 has been a year of progress and success and pushing forward, so this comes as a great reward for all our hard work now recognized by the cultural sponsorship responsibles in our home town. There is some more great – international – news ahead, but I won’t spoil it until there’s some evidence.

By the way, if you’re haveing doubts about going to our Bardentreffen show on Friday, think again! It’s going to be spectacular!

Wrongkong meet the Bards. Again!

Europe’s biggest free of charge inner city music festival, Nürnberg’s famous Bardentreffen, features Canada as their motto this year. So it goes without saying that canadienne Cyrena Dunbar and the rest of Wrongkong will put on a very special show for everyone, including some suprises and a couple of brand new songs. Wrongkong will play on Friday, July 27th at the exclusive new stage KulturGarten (K4).

Here’s our facebook event for the show:

Numen are trying the bar thing. Oooh …

The new five piece that is Numen will be going for the ultimate challenge on Tuesday July 17th at Ludwig’s. It’s a bar that features live music and it means getting people who come for drinks to stop all the conversation pieces to listen to music. We accept that challenge, which means we’ll play in a similar manner as our Stereo gig with Icelanders Agent Fresco a few weeks ago, adding a few more songs t0 our semi-acoustic set.

A blog called Soundkartell was very enthusiastic about our Stereo gig, they posted two videos from our performance with some really charming words here: http://soundkartell.de/numen-live-unplugged-zweiter-teil/
